Waffles for breakfast while doing laundry in the dockside facility. Perhaps I haven’t mentioned that Mark placed a drying line in the engine room so that we can hang things that don’t go in the dryer. It’s nice and warm in there so things dry easily as they hang from the ceiling line. The line height is just a bit short for me to stand up to full height but it works. Nancy can stand up even in the aft part which requires me to crouch. She has the short advantage!

We then spent the morning at the Atlantic Fisheries Museum. They have all sorts of interesting exhibits relating to fishing, life on board, tragedies at sea, sea creatures and life on land. There were museum staff located around the rooms available to answer questions or scheduled to talk on a specific subject.

We had lunch at the museum restaurant and said goodbye to Maggie and Charlie. They made it all the way to the US border by nightfall.

Nancy and I went off to the grocery/beer store while Mark and Bev did some local gift shopping. When we met back at the boat, I had determined that the one restaurant where we had hoped to have dinner was not able to take us because rain was predicted and outdoor dining would be closed. We decided to stay on board for dinner. It was absolutely the right decision since it began to rain almost immediately after we got on board. The wind was strong, driving the rain sideways and the docks were bouncing with the waves. Going out for dinner would have been wet and miserable even with foul weather gear.
I won all 3 games of Rummikub before we went to bed!!

We hoped for clearing by morning with calmer seas too. The predictions were for sun and very little wind. We were hoping the predictions were correct!

  1. You all are really having a great adventure! The meals aboard sound like they rival any restaurant’s menu!!

    1. The real problem in Lunenberg was that restaurants were closed. We have found that many places are closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. Staffing is a big problem. We think that Canada opened too late to find summer help. But we haven’t gone hungry lots of good food to be had on board!
