Monday and Tuesday July 11/12 were spent packing up cars, unpacking and stowing everything, we hope, we need for our 10 week trip. We take off mid morning today, July 13, to go offshore and arrive in Halifax, NS. around 2am Friday morning. We expect no wind and a rising full moon tonight. These are perfect conditions for Friendship 4, a 53 ft Jefferson trawler.

Our plan is to anchor in Halifax in front of the home of good friends of Mark and Bev. We will check in with Canadian custom and immigration by phone and then sleep until morning.
We will be off the grid during our travels but can be contacted by satellite phone in an emergency. That information is in the hands of those who “need to know”. Don’t worry. We will be fine!
Have a wonderful time. I can’t imagine 2 weeks in that kind of confined space, much less 10, but I know you’ll thrive! 💙

It’s luxurious by boat standards! And we all have fun. It’s surely not for everyone.
