27 January 2022 – Thursday – Get Ready for Anne’s Latest Adventure

On 05 February, Anne with Friends Mark, Bev and Nancy will depart the US on a National Geographics Expedition to ANTARCTICA !!! The Group will be enjoying the amazing comforts and skilled Exploration Leaders on the NATGEO Ship, RESOLUTION.

Antarctica, South Georgia, and the Falklands Expedition details:

Day 0 (Feb 5): Fly JFK to Miami

Day 1 (Feb 6): Overnight charter flight to Ushuaia, Argentina

Day 2 (Feb 7): Embark National Geographic Resolution

Day 3 (Feb 8): At sea, Drake Passage to Antarctica

Days 4 – 9 (Feb 9 – 14) Antarctica

Long hours of daylight exploring the Antarctic Peninsula and surrounding islands. The schedule is flexible. We will sail through the Lemaire Channel and land on Antarctica. We’ll explore by going ashore with Zodiacs and then afoot.

Days 10 – 11 (Feb 15 & 16): at sea to South Georgia Island (The route of Sir Earnest Schackleton)

Days 12 – 16 (Feb 17 – 21): South Georgia

We’ll explore the coast of South Georgia Island. The schedule is flexible. Cruising around the island and anchoring at various locations for Zodiac excursions ashore. This is where we see the most marine life.

Days 17 & 18 (Feb 22 & 23): At sea to the Falklands

Days 19 & 20 (Feb 24 & 25): 

Like we did in South Georgia Island. The schedule is flexible. Cruising around the island and anchoring at various locations for Zodiac excursions ashore

Day 21 (Feb 26): At sea

Day 22 (Feb 27): Arrive Ushuaia, Argentina

Day 23 (Feb 28): Flight to Miami

Day 24 (Mar 1): Flight to Boston
