Today was supposed to be a short day to wind down and pack supplies. As we began to finish cases we had a return to the OR for bleeding and a child with a very high heart rate who ultimately just seemed to have a fever. The day ended later than we expected but not too late to buy chocolate to bring home.
We had a team dinner at a beautiful rooftop restaurant overlooking the area and the volcanoes. What a great week. Lots of new people found a new passion. That’s what matters. We leave tomorrow morning to go home. But we are all better for having been here together.
