We started the day dyeing Easter eggs. We left the anchorage as we turned back towards our original marina which is several days away. We motored for much of the morning today. There was no wind at all. But it picked up in the early afternoon. We had a fantastic sail toward our planned destination.

As we neared our planned anchorage the wind and waves picked up making our initial plan untenable. We pushed around a point hoping to find shelter on the other side. We saw another boat coming towards us and radioed them. They told us that they had left our second choice anchorage because it was too exposed. We searched our Navionics charts for reachable spots further down the coast. We identified a small snug harbor that looked very protected about 8 more miles away. We spoke to the other boat telling them our plans. The sun was setting.
We motored on towards Ramada cove and then pulled out the Genoa which gave us a substantial wind push. As we neared the cove a boat, Remedy, called us on the radio to say that they were alone in the cove and very securely protected. They could see our lights coming towards them. They told us they would turn on all their lights to help us get into the cove. It was very typical sailing help from another experienced boat.

We arrived just as darkness closed in. We had been told where to anchor in the harbor so it was relatively easy. We also knew it was a good sandy bottom for secure holding.

Once we were secure we made dinner, finished our Easter egg decorations and went to sleep.
