After breakfast we took the dinghy to the beach so that we could hike towards the volcano which made the island. The hike to the top takes hours and we needed to leave for our next destination. So we did a short hike to stretch our legs and take in the view. Once we returned to the boat, we weighed anchor, set sails and were off to our next destination, Punta Pulpito. As often happens, the wind was going to be coming at us out of the direction we were going. So we would need to tack (zig zag) our way towards the port.

It’s another beautiful sunny day. We maintained a boat speed of 7 knots or better. After lunch, we were surrounded by an enormous pod of dolphins who swam along with us for a while. It was great entertainment.

We are trying to make our way north. But with the wind coming out of the north it’s slow. We finished the day by motoring along the shore to Pulpito bay where we tucked in behind a nice rock cove.

Pax has Starlink and full WiFi. As we ate dinner we watched the news on PBS. it’s amazing to have the connection to the world that has not been the norm in the past. Somehow it doesn’t feel right but I won’t complain.
