We had been told about an exhibit at the Grenada museum of art that featured local artists. So we embarked on another adventure by car. Traffic going into town is busy but that keeps most cars in line so it’s easier to drive than on empty roads where everyone drives in the middle until forced to one side.
We found a good parking spot and walked to the museum. Some of the works were quite good. One room held a display about slavery. The art included chains hanging from circles of metal. There were paper tags hanging off the chains, some labeled with names of known slaves and others empty place holders for those who were unnamed. It was a powerful representation of lives.

We walked a bit further into the open air craft and spice market. Grenada is “the spice island” known for its plentiful growth of cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, turmeric, and peppers. Of course it was impossible not to buy spices.
We walked back to the waterfront to a nice spot for lunch. There is always interest along the waterfront. Lunch was supposedly tuna, but it surely was not. In any case, fish is well prepared here.

Our trip back to the house included a crazy winding trip over the hills. We ended the day with a nice swim at La Sagesse and a Rum and tonic. Sorry to be leaving for cold weather in the morning.
