We had a relaxed morning in Brigus. Some people hiked out to the lighthouse and picked blueberries. We all met up for lunch at a restaurant overlooking the harbor. We then dispersed and gradually made our way back to the yacht club. It was a short 1 1/2 hour run. We stopped for fuel then tied up at the dock and waited to help others come in.
Moya had invited all of us to a cookout at her house that evening. Nancy and I had been cooking a pulled pork all day. Moya ran out to buy some needed additional ingredients for the party. We all started to arrive around 6:30. Her house overlooks the harbor.
Moya’s kitchen was a buzz of chopping, making hamburger patties, washing lettuce, setting out H’ors d’oeuvres and passing around beverages. The burgers got cooked, the pork was pulled and dinner was a great success. We left around midnight. Newfoundlanders are good at partying.
