The National Geographic Expedition team posts daily reports with photos. You can check them out at https://www.expeditions.com/expedition-stories/daily-expedition-reports/ When you go to this page, select the filter and set it for the National Geographic Resolution (our ship). You can set it up to get the reports by email.
The basic itinerary is:
- Saturday, Feb 5 – fly to Miami and sequester in an airport hotel
- Sunday Feb 6 – more COVID testing, sequester with other passengers, then a charter flight to the southern most port in Argentina (14 hour flight)
- Feb 7/8 – at sea crossing the Drake passage to Antarctica
- Feb 9 – 14 – Antarctica
- Feb 10 -11 – at sea
- Feb 12 – 16 – South Georgia island
- Feb 17 – 21 – South Georgia
- Feb 22 – 23 – at sea
- Feb 24 – 25 – Falkland Islands
- Feb 26 – at sea
- Feb 27 – 28 – Arrive Ushuaia Argentina and fly to Miami
- March 1 – fly to Boston
